Helping  children  find healing from difficult experiences

At Blossom Play Therapy, I aim to provide a safe, warm and playful environment for children to express their feelings. As blossoms are intricate, beautiful and bloom in their own time, the same can be said for children.  Read on to find out how this support can help you and your child.

What is Play Therapy?

Play Therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach based on the premise that 'play is a child's language and toys are their words' (Landreth). Children often find it hard to express their feelings in words, and so they often express themselves through play.  Play Therapy provides children a safe, comfortable and child-centred space complete with a range of toys, sensory and creative mediums to express themselves. The sessions take place in the presence of a trained therapist who will attune to their needs, help them understand their often conflicting feelings, process their experiences and develop coping skills. What I can offer as a Play Therapist

As a qualified Play Therapist, I aim to provide children with an accepting, empathic  and playful experience where they will feel comfortable and safe to  share, to be themselves, and to heal.

I can offer a series of one on one sessions in a  play therapy room in both Cardiff and Talbot Green,  which has toys, creative activities and materials for children to use.

I bring a wealth of experience working with children in a number of settings, and I tailor my approach to ensure that each child's needs are accommodated. I value working with caregivers to help and support their child, as they are so integral to the process.
